This beautiful former Victorian Rectory had been completely renovated and needed the grounds redesigned and landscaped. The client wanted the garden to provide a link between the classic exterior and the property’s rural surroundings and we added a contemporary link to the interior with the use of the Yew topiary balls and domes.

The use of evergreen Taxus and Ilex crenata hedging and topiary gives year round structure to the garden, pleached Fagus sylvatica (Beech) surrounds an outdoor swimming pool and gives some seasonal Autumn and winter interest.

The colour palette used for the herbaceous borders were pretty soft pastels whilst white was used for the Hydrangea borders. The borders give summer long colour and scent from roses while spring is heralded with bulbs of Tulips and Alliums using the same colour palette as the herbaceous border.

A large play area for the children was created complete with zip wire and tree house.
