MCGEACHY GARDEN DESIGN | The Wildflower Garden
This was a formal rose garden whose Buxus hedging had succumbed to blight, the roses were far too labour intensive to keep them at their best. We worked closely with the client on this project and wanted to keep the formality of the garden whilst looking like nature had edged it’s way in.
The garden is both formal and informal, it has a beautiful bespoke summerhouse that serves as a quiet area to read and relax. The meadow has been infused with spring bulbs for early interest and flowers from early March with the wildflowers taking over until October.
The Taxus hedging needs cutting only once a year and the meadow needs cutting and clearing once a year making this an extremely beautiful and low maintenance garden.
